Turnkey photovoltaic parks

residential photovoltaic systems

commercial photovoltaic systems

“When we traveled to Europe and saw panels installed on houses and industrial buildings, we wanted to see these systems in our country, where only large-scale parks were built for large energy producers. With the changes that have taken place globally in recent years, the increase in the price of energy has created the conditions for the use of photovoltaic panels to become economically viable.
This moment was an opportunity for us who had experience in the two fields, namely the installation of photovoltaic systems and the collaboration with national electricity distributors. We have installed hundreds of systems until the year 2022 and felt the need to give a name to this part of the Silkat Group business. We called it Silkat Solar.”

Costi Mănescu and Cătalin Stanciu, Managing Partners Silkat Electric Grup

Silkat Solar emerged as a natural extension of Silkat Electric Grup, working from the very beginning in electricity distribution networks, in direct contact with the final customer on the one hand and with the electricity distributor on the other (Enel, CEZ, Electrica ).

Always making the connection between the national network and the end customer, whether it was an individual with a private home or a large company with warehouses or production premises, the SILKAT Electric Grup team felt the need to give a more expressive name to this business component their.

The appearance of Silkat Solar is due to the completion of several residential and commercial projects with photovoltaic panels, both in Romania and abroad since 2007, as well as the construction of large photovoltaic parks starting in 2011 in Romania and from 2015 outside the country.

The photovoltaic parks are conglomerates of solar power plants, with different owners, and converters / transformers connecting to the national electricity network, separately. By definition, a mega solar power plant can also be called a solar park.

One of the advantages is that it can be built on any type of surface: productive agricultural land or not, cleared wine-growing areas, industrial platforms or buildings already built (rooftop power plant).

However, certain conditions are required for this space/ land to be practicable:

  • terrain orientation and slope,
  • distance from flooded areas,
  • orientation towards the forest (to avoid shading),
  • the access road to the photovoltaic park,
  • distance from the national electricity network, etc.

Although the investment is quite large, in some cases discouraging, given that the energy thus obtained can be sold through the national electricity transmission system, at the same price as the energy produced by fossil fuels, these parks prove their medium-term profitability and long.

Because Romania enjoys a very good position on the solar radiation map, the gross rate of return of such an investment is 18% -20% from the first year. Involves Operating costs amount to approximately 5% -10% of annual revenue.

Our team has been involved in the design and construction of photovoltaic parks both in the country and abroad and will be happy to offer you advice in carrying out such a project.
